WOW! If I could give more than 5 stars I would….

After a recent not so five star experience with another contractor, we hired John for our next step in our home renovation and he did not disappoint. The job demo was done very professionally and SUPER clean (huge change from our previous experience with the other contractor). The construction itself was done with high craftsmanship and detail. You can tell John’s subs respect him and hold him in high regard and they were respectful and kind to us.

John himself was at the job site almost daily even if just for a quick check in. He was always available through texts and calls throughout our timeline and the finished product was incredible. We felt that John’s pricing was fair and reasonable while not the lowest (which lowest pricing is always a red flag for us). John also has the perfect demeanor for this job. He is always even keel and nothing rattles him – even us – when we stressed about little things that come up in the process.

Simply put, our master suite and closet could be in a magazine. We have already recommended John to friends and we would never use another contractor for future projects of our own.

We’ve used John and Dawn Gall for multiple projects and they do an incredible job.  Dawn is great at adapting to your personal style and working with John to make sure everything comes out as planned.  We really appreciate John remodeling our master closet after it flooded during the Winter storm last February, all while he was already working on our kitchen and upstairs projects.  COVID has been a challenge for securing appliances and people, but John did a great job managing it all.  Thanks for everything John & Dawn!

John Gall was one of 3 general contractors we contacted to bid on what we felt were major renovations to a home we purchased.

Renovations included new wood floors throughout, remodel of bathrooms, remodel of kitchen including custom wood cabinets, custom framing of an exterior wall with new windows, and lots of lighting, electrical, and plumbing work.

John’s bid was competitive and he was the most thorough in his bid write up. His bid was favorably different compared to the other contractors because he estimated what we asked for rather than bidding on what he felt like needed to be done as the other contractors did.

My wife handled most of the interaction with John and she was pleased with his approach and ideas. He was creative when solving problems in economical ways that looked good. John also made decisions easy when choices seemed overwhelming.

I feel there will always be unforeseen issues that are easy for folks to place blame on contractors regardless of who you choose, so rather than offer a criticism of the problem encountered it’s better to make sure you have a partner you feel you can work through the problem with. In that sense, we would gladly partner with John on any sized project.

We’ve had two projects where we used the Gall Group. The first one was an extensive renovation. It’s clearly more than a remodel when you’re tearing down exterior walls and completely changing the look and size of your home! John’s finish work and follow up are both excellent and the end result was pretty much a new home that was the talk of the neighborhood!

The second project involved replacing all exterior windows and doing some additional “odds and ends” type work. Both were well done and, when some difficulties arose due to some untimely rains, John saw the corrections through till they were completed satisfactorily. I would highly recommend John and we will use him again.

I hired Gall Group to design and remodel my living room, study, master bedroom and bathroom, utility room, powder bathroom, media and dining room. I couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome! The people working here were polite and kept me informed when they expected to return and what areas they were going to work on. The wood floors installed are beautiful! Such a fantastic job of blending my existing wood floors to the new areas. The tile work in the master bathroom is aesthetically pleasing. The Dining room is quite elegant. Study is beyond my expectations. Obviously I am very pleased with the large project. I highly recommend The Gall Group for all your design & remodeling needs.

We have used The Gall Group for three remodel projects, but the most recent one was the largest. John remodeled our kitchen, wet bar, pantry and laundry rooms. As with our prior experiences, everyone on John’s team was professional and of the highest caliber. We were extremely pleased with not only the final product, but also the care and attention to detail along the way. As with any job of this size, there were minor touch up times following the major work. John and his team addressed these issues quickly and efficiently. We highly recommend John Gall. He and his crew took down a huge fireplace that ran through the center of our home, through two stories and the roof. He took the job when most others would not. In February 2018, we finished our 4th renovation project with The Gall Group. John and his contractors completely renovated our kitchen/family room area and transformed a wet bar area into a mudroom and storage closet. We are beyond thrilled with the results! John and his team recently completed a remodel and renovation of our master bedroom and bath. We could not be more pleased. John and Dawn worked to incorporate our vision for the rooms into a comprehensive plan for (eventual) renovation of the remainder of our home. Quality and craftsmanship were of the highest quality. We particularly liked the recommendation of an expanded window in the master bathroom which incorporated much-needed light into the space. John suggested certain additional items along the way that really upgraded the overall look of the project and–helpfully–suggested certain areas where we could trim costs. The contractors that were utilized for the job were courteous, on-time, and professional. The Gall Group exceeded our expectations for this project and we highly recommend them.

The Gall Group remodeled our 1980 home, specifically the kitchen, three living areas, and dining room. John designed a very open floor plan that brought all of those spaces together and the final product was just stunning. He advised us on design choices (anything from paint colors to tearing out walls) and was always accessible for discussion. He managed the budget and timeline very well. Plus, he’s a nice guy. There are four areas of a remodeling project that are important to us: quality of work; trustworthiness of crew (do we feel comfortable with the people in our home?); adherence to budget; adherence to timeline. The Gall Group met our expectations on all four areas. Our house is now a beautiful place to come home to. We highly recommend the Gall Group and will definitely use them for our next project–the back yard.

From start to finish, John and his team were fantastic. John really means it when he says that he will take care of your house like his own. Our master bath and kitchen came out great and we know that we will enjoy his work for many years to come. In particular, we walked the project frequently to make sure things were done how we liked. The owner John Gall, was professional and responsive and displayed patience answering our questions as we were first time renovators. His sub contractors were courteous, neat, professional, and did excellent work.

After our initial kitchen renovations, we used TGG again to replace our home windows as well as install new exterior doors!

John remodeled my son’s condo to freshen it up but also to accommodate his physical disabilities, especially the bathrooms. The master bathroom was very small and compartmentalized. John’s vision allowed the space to be opened up by removing an unnecessary wall and moving the door from the toilet-shower area to the entrance of the bathroom which also gave him more privacy. The tub was converted to a shower with custom made shower doors to allow for his height. All the neighbors commented on how it greatly enhanced the space. My son really enjoys his own condo and the ability to live independently!

I have used John for many years for different remodel projects. Always fantastic quality and service. This summer (2017), I redid my master bathroom and had all new windows in my house replaced. Will never use anyone else!

The rebuilding of an outdoor balcony that had water related structural damage. The quality of the work and the attention to detail were of the highest level. I have worked with John Gall on numerous renovations/remodeling projects done to my home. This particular one happened to be an emergency situation — a slab leak. John was at my door within minutes of my frantic call. He had the plumber there, located the leak and repaired it with minimal down time. This efficiency and urgency helped curtail additional damage that could have occurred to my home. John is honest, reliable and professional. There is never a question as to the quality of his work or commitment.

John did an expansion off my second floor. He added two rooms and a dream closet. My dream closet has a cedar closet, a beverage center, a vanity area and enough shelving for 100 shoes. Thanks John for building my dream closet!

This is the 2nd project that John has worked on for me. I have an older home in central Plano and it looks like new again. We recently updated the master bathroom and attached closet. He made both more spacious and usable. In this remodel, we also removed all of the popcorn ceiling, painted the interior of the house and removed some outdated “plant shelves” along with crown moulding. He has wonderful ideas to provide a fresh new look! My wife and I couldn’t be happier!

Our 1980’s built custom home has needed many updates. The Gall Group supplied many suggestions with the expected costs. Not only did we gut the Kitchen and Master bath we also re-constructed the exterior with stone and energy efficient windows. John Gall’s subcontractors have been both professional and reliable. Looking for new and fresh ideas from John. Adding one tankless hot water heater gave us a lot more usable space in our mud room. I was skeptical at first but could not function without the added space.

He has great ideas, a very good vision, is easy to work with and always in control of the process!

This was my first experience using The Gall Group. I wanted something unique. John was able to create an idea far better than what I envisioned. In fact, I have used The Gall Group a second time. My living room needed to be updated — I had used it as a play area for the kids but wanted to make it a study or library. The Gall Group came in and we focused largely on design this time. They repurposed things from other rooms and added accents to finish out the space. We have an older home so we do need to repaint but sometimes you don’t need to knock down walls to get a great new look. The transformation is incredible — it is a grown up room now!

John has completed three projects for us within a two year time span. We are very pleased with the finished products in each case – master bathroom, kitchen, and outdoor living space. John is very easy to work with and is responsive. If there is a problem, John will make it right. He is trustworthy and a man of high integrity.

John renovated every inch of our 4800 sq. ft. home originally built in the 1970’s. The original floor plan was awkward and inefficient. John helped us achieve our vision of an open and functional floor plan within the original footprint. The flow of the house was completely reconfigured by removing and adding walls throughout the entire house. John captured unused attic space to vault the ceilings in our enlarged kitchen making it bright and airy. He took an asymmetrical sloped ceiling in the family room and found a way to open it up to create a 24 foot tall open ceiling with wooden beams. Our house is now completely updated and functional… We highly recommend The Gall Group!

We have done multiple projects with John, and it has been a great experience. He does really good work, professional, and took care of everything. I have recommended him to at least 50 people, and we are all very satisfied.

We have used John’s company several times on both smaller (moving an overhead light or adding an extra electrical socket) and larger jobs. Our most recent project was refinishing the upstairs game room. It entailed remodeling the built in cabinets, replacing a tile floor with hardwoods, repainting the cabinets, doors, and trim work, retiling a bar area backsplash, installing a new countertop, and repainting the walls. The project was finished with great professionalism and in a timely manner. There were no complications during the project (even when we added additional things we wanted to have done). We could not have been happier with the work and the new game room.

John was great and easy to work with. We did a whole house remodel and it went very smoothly. All his trades were great to work with as well and our experience was very good! We are very pleased with the end product and have actually already used him again for phase two.

Approximately one year later, John was very professional during a remodel and fixing what a previous contractor messed up.
